This page shows the annual return of the real Dividend Heroes. For the current 25 stocks check the 2024 portfolio. Please note that we select the top-25 dividend stocks at the end of each calendar year. This means many new names, but also a lot of ‘repeat’ names on January 1st. There are more than 100 Dividend Heroes in the USA based on our selection criteria. The 25 highest ranked stocks are tracked throughout the year since 2016 and we also added our test results for the 40 stocks dividend portfolio from 2012 through 2015 that eventually became the 25 stock ‘Heroes portfolio’ that started early 2016. We started our annual Dividend Heroes Selection in 2016, based on stats at the end of 2015. Please note that all returns above are Total Returns with dividends received throughout the year being reinvested. The New Dividend Heroes are selected at the end of each year.

The website www.dividendheroes.com was launched this summer so all historical stats and performance data above is based on our earlier work that we did not publish about before. The performance chart is updated weekly since we started publishing on dividendheroes.com this year and only shows data for 2024. Prior to this date the charts we made only show annual returns since we did not update weekly.

The Dividend Heroes are up 38.4% YTD as of November 22, 2024.

Starting early 2025 we will share the full selection of Dividend Heroes so you can see that we are for real and all returns shown above are for real. On January 1, 2025 we will also restart our portfolio with a $100.000 starting amount that will be tracked throughout 2025 and after that.
